Gold Coast Caravan & Camping Show 2016
Mick and Nick from the Cast Iron Boys, and their special guest Marcel from Australian Outdoor Adventures, were doing live camp oven cooking demonstrations on the “Campfire Cooking Stage” at the Gold Coast Caravan and Camping show hosted by Caravanning Queensland.
If you’ve seen the boys, you’d know this is a “must-see” opportunity for anyone interested in cooking with camp ovens. Our camp oven demonstrations are designed to be fun and informative for beginners and intermediates alike.
The event saw thousands of visitors go through the gates on the weekend of the 4 – 6th of March 2016.
It was the biggest caravan event on the Gold Coast in 2016! Over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest in caravans, campers, 5th wheelers and motorhomes.
The boys set up their stage as if you were headed out on a boys weekend. Think camping, riding motorbikes and eating good food made in a camp oven whilst relaxing by the fire. Sounds like my idea of paradise! They demonstrated their favourite recipes and of course, you can’t have a campfire without damper. The audience members got involved in the damper making and got their hands dirty, then were rewarded with a prize courtesy of Oztrail Leisure Products.
